Today You Looked In The…

Today I looked in the mirror and saw an image I did not recognise.  This image looked dark and suspiciously brooding about something I could not place my finger on, totally different from the image I had long held in my mind.

The image I could see in my mind’s eye was a happy person, totally self assured, on the way to financial freedom and finally free of the past.

This image was in control of the present and had a strangle hold on the future by making the right choices that dripped with the butter of delayed gratification and wore the coat of strategy.

This person sat on the chair of contentment in the living room of close relationships that all shared dinner from the same table called experiences.

While each page of the ideal image was being revealed, I noticed out of corner of my eye a glimmer of movement and turned around to see what it was.

It turned out to be the light from the lamp shade beside my bed and as I looked on it seemed to be reflecting some movement from within the mirror behind me.

Disturbed I turned around and with horror looked on as this other image started to reach for me through the mirror.

In a panic I jumped backwards wondering what was going on and realised in a daze that it was just my reflection and more than that, a reflection of the thoughts in my mind.

“It’s not real” I thought as I woke up abruptly from my day dream in the middle of the train station on the way to work today…

So, what is the tale about, what is the story meant to reveal?

This is the short version and the rest you will need to work out for yourself everyday but it lies in these two words… “Your Reflection”.

If your reflection is true, then your true self will be a mirror of your reflection.

A reflection just like the mirror will only show the real you.

Can you honestly say that real you is the image you will like to see if you looked in the mirror?  If not change it starting today!

Go for it!
